And God said, “Let us make humankind in our image and according to our likeness... What name would you pick to call an image of God? No pressure.....

Well, GOD calls humankind "Adam". Yes, it is a collective term for both male and female together, and in Hebrew literally means mankind. It also is used to mean Man, and of course it's the name we also call the First Man.

Well, what then do we call the First Lady? God let Adam pick this one, and he called her IshShah! ..... Huh? You thought she was called Eve right? That came later....

Adam referred to himself as Ish ( man ) and IshShah was the name he picked for his mate, because she "came from Ish", and was "joined to" Ish. IshShah is used as the term for wife, mate, women, and even join together, in the OT.

Now the following text should make more sense...

And the Adam said, “She is now bone from my bones and flesh from my flesh; she shall be called ‘IshShah,’ for she was taken from Ish.” Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and shall cling to his IshShah, and they shall be as one flesh. Ladies, you are all IshShah....

After Wife, we have Mom. And that's what her new name became. Havah..... ( echoes of the Lord's NAME here )... Lifegiver! 119:33-38
