I have great compassion for those in the LGBT community that feel estranged from loved ones, the community, and even God - who they feel has treated them so unjustly. I understand the rage and the anger at being treated like pariahs by those who are no better (or even worse than themselves), and this anger being extended God-ward as well - who they feel has given them a rough deal - made them the way they are, and then condemned them for it.

1. James 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

This text abolishes any seperation or superciliousness between the "normal" Christian community and the LGBT one. We are all equally guilty and sinners before God - I would go so far as to say that we are guilty of the same or greater sins! There are some murderers, drug dealers, adulterers out there that are comfortable in their grace, who at the same time point the finger at the gay community and in effect, treat them like lepers were treated in the Old Testament (and the New).Once we start thinking of ourselves as sinners in exactly the same way as those we point fingers at, our attitudes will change. Let He who is without sin among us cast the first stone.

2. The next is more theology centered - not theoretical theology, but more, the knowledge of the character and mind of God and His plan.

The anger(even hate) against God by those who are struggling with gender identity may possibly be summarized or paraphrased as "You gave me an itch and now forbid me to scratch it", or "why did you so cruelly create me or make me this way?" The anger is understandable. But I would invite you to consider the following:

a) there are hundreds of thousands of people being born and now living that were born with birth defects, congenital diseases and debilitating conditions. They have (in my view) so much more reason to rail at God. Why did God create them that way? Answer below......

b) He didn't. God created a perfect world and what we are seeing today instead is the crippling and devastating effect of SIN in the world. SIN is what destroys, and distorts everything in this world and God is blasphemed, instead of us ascribing this torment to SIN and the DEVIL. If God intended men to be cripples, Jesus would not have (in His Ministry) gone about healing the cripples - but rather would have told them - this is the way God intended you to be, so you need to stay that way and I am not going to heal you. ON THE CONTRARY!!! -- He spent His 3 years healing and extending grace to ALL who came to Him - lepers, cripples, prostitutes, gentiles, samaritans. God is not willing for us to live as cripples! ...... your issue with this argument might be as below...

c) But it was God who allowed us to be tempted and permitted (and permits) SIN in this world. He IS RESPONSIBLE!!
Yes He IS! HE is the one who says He is in his Word and doesn't shrink from it. He has made a deal with the devil regarding this planet. ( Made one with him about Job as well ). The devil is the prince of this world, and God has sovereignly limited himself to a toehold - the tribe of Jacob/Israel, his Word in the Old Testament, the church in the New. His Kingdom was ushered in with Jesus, but he has still permitted the reign of SIN till such time as it must be sovereignly judged. So the Devil takes men captive, persecutes the saints and kills them. He is permitted to do so till the appointed time. It is part of Gods plan!Why you may ask does it have to be this way? Why this pain and suffering for so many millennia...........?

D) You are not alone in asking. Jesus in Gethsemane struggled with the same question. Why this way, why this cup? Ultimately he surrendered to God's wisdom and so must we.

Part of the persecution, suffering and blindness the devil inflicts on men/women is this issue of gender confusion. He has had free reign with this amongst the pagan peoples, and now is inflicting this on Jews and Christians - which is what God warns against in the OT (you shall be not like the peoples around you whom God did not put under his authority), And Paul gives us more context in the new testament. Homosexuality/Bestiality/Incest/Sexual sins are all connected with dishonoring the image of God and God "GIVES YOU OVER TO IT". In other words, God has released his authority/protection and the devil is free to take sinners captive in this respect and blind and imprison with this spirit. This community deserves our compassion and not our censure! They are captives of the devil who has ensnared them.

The Cross and the Blood of Christ is the only way to deliverance. God does not withhold his salvation from any sinner - Christ died for us while we were yet sinners!

He came to the lepers, to the pariah Samaritan adulteress by the well, to the tax collector, to the prostitute, to the demon possessed, to the gentiles. God is more willing to receive all sinners than we know and tenderly wash us clean and present us faultless before his presence. NOBODY IS EXCLUDED. NOBODY.

The Church needs to embrace the LGBT community as we do all sinners. Understand the source and the nature of the sin. Love the sinner. Pray for deliverance. Forgive them (and seek forgiveness for how we have hurt them). If we do not do this, OUR FORGIVENESS IS IN JEOPARDY!! Pray for them to be delivered and turn from their sin.

Matthew 6: 14,15 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. If we are willing to extend forgiveness to the murderer, adulterer, gangbanger, living together, drug addict, liar - where do we get off denying it to a certain segment of the population?

We should be clear in our understanding of the issue, the way God sees it.

Its a capital crime

Lev 18:22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. 23 Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it is confusion. 24 Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you: 25 And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants.

Lev 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

17 There shall be no whore of the daughters of Israel, nor a sodomite of the sons of Israel. (Dt 23:17)

It dishonors Gods image, and is directly linked to the crime of Idolatry

22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. 24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: 25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. 26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. 28 And even as they did not like to retainh God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Rom 1:24-27

It dishonors the body.

Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid. 16 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. 19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. 1 Co 6:18-20

There are two classes of people:

1. Those born with excessive masculine or feminine emotions (innocent)
2. Those given up to vile affections (guilty and evil/ predatory); This second group begins to influence the first to say that a homosexual lifestyle is the only way they can be happy [ Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.(Ro 1:32) ]

Society and Culture have created stereotypes of what men and women should and should not do or be like. There is nothing wrong with a man wanting to cook or sew or a woman wanting to be more of a man... it is the ACT of fornication that is in judgement. (You are not a thief unless you steal...) You can have different emotional makeups - but your physical makeup has been determined by God. Thinking you need to change your gender because of the way you feel is a LIE.

Women was created to be mans equal helper.... Relationship was cursed in the garden but both men and women are capable of doing the same things (as we have seen) - there is no shame in a man doing 'womanly' occupations or a woman doing 'male' things. The issue is dishonoring what God has created them to be by indulging in immoral acts which are condemned. When created and born - they are born as God intends them to be (M or F) - society begins to pigeon hole them otherwise.

How should we treat them?

How do you deal with liars and adulterers and others of that nature?

1. Tell them it is sin and will not be tolerated
2. Love them and educate them that sin is a choice
3. Try to understand if they have been victimized in the past - hence this is why they are they way the are; Let them know that forgiveness exists and change is possible

4. Know that there are reprobates that will never accept this - they are not to be tolerated in the church.

There is therefore no biblical reason for supporting gay marriage because it is consenting to a way of life that is sinful.

9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate ((boy/male prostitute), nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God. 1 Co 6:9-11
