"To the person who is good in his eyes, he gives wisdom, knowledge, and joy; but to the sinner he gives the task of gathering and heaping up only to give it to him who is pleasing in the eyes of God." - Eccl 2:26

The gift of God to the righteous who seek Him with all their heart is firstly, spiritual wisdom that begins with a holy fear of Him. Then, growing in the knowledge of Him brings us not just the joy of salvation but the ability to rejoice in our day to day lives even though we may be under tribulation. Finally, His provision and abundance for us includes that which flows out of the effort of sinners, as they seek after and grasp for material things.

"Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear?,’ for the pagans seek after all these things. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first his kingdom and righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." - Matthew 7:31-33
